THE MILESTONES
With a rich legacy of 4 decades driven by innovation and passion, Cosmos is now present across 4 verticals,
11 product categories and many countries. This journey has been dotted with landmarks we take pride in.
1978
THE BEGINNING
Identifying a need in the market, began manufacturing centering plates, window & door frames etc.
1981
THE IMPROVISATION
Added new products to the portfolio by introducing MS door frames.
1983
THE EXPANSION
Started a 3rd unit to add to the manufacturing capability and cater to more markets.
1991
THE BIG LEAP
As the construction industry witnessed a boom, Pune became a hub of R&D, and Cosmos also innovated with new products like mixers, lifts, dumpers, concrete blocks etc. The idea was to turn labour intensive work into automation, optimise the efforts and maximise the outputs.
1998
THE DIVERSIFICATION
Initiated Siddharth Mechanical Works and led the diversification into construction and manufacturing businesses.
2000
THE EXPORT JOURNEY
Explored new markets and ventured into exports to Tanzania, Ghana, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
2004
THE UPGRADATION
As the second boom took over the construction industry, we started the Chakan factory for heavy equipment.
2008
THE REALIGNMENT
As the entire construction industry moved to a service-based model, we realigned our approach too by introducing car parking system.
2010
THE COLLABORATION
Began a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Kumkang Kind, renowned manufacturers of formwork.
2017
THE INNOVATION
Became the first construction equipment company in Pune to venture into Balcony Cage System.
2020
THE REVOLUTION
Through extensive R&D and study of market trends, ventured into GANG Form Climbing System.
